An apple a day keeps the wurms away

To the students out there frustrated with computer troubles, Buy a Mac and get a free iPod Mini! Granted, you have to mail in a rebate to get your money back for the iPod Mini, but apple is very good with rebates. I even didn't cash my rebate in the given amount of time--"void after 2 months of date issued"--and Apple graciously sent me a new check. That said, if you take advantage of this deal, do not buy the iMacs. The old headlamp iMacs were great, but the new ones at the Wells Library get very hot and the fans are on all the time. If you get a portable, the iBook is a decent deal. THAT said, Apple is switching to Intel chips between late 2006 and late 2007. Currently they are using IBM chips. Holding out on buying a new computer because of this is pretty crazy. A Windows computer would be obsolete even earlier anyways. But if you're really in no rush, wait for the iBook or Powerbook to come out with Pentium M. *slobbers on keyboard* um, ok bed time.

well maybe they are having this deal so to get rid of the old comps because EVERYONE is waiting for the new Intel chips...
And besides, why not hook you in with an iPod because Mac is more popular with their iPods than their computers... at least for now.
But I support Macs. They are pretty crazy, but nice once you get use to it... actually I can say the same for Windows o.o .. no wonder why adults have trouble learning computers XDD
