Yevgeny Ornegin

Wow...I just went to see IU's Eugene Ornegin...it was AMAZING. I mean, I saw Carmen last year in Evansville, and it was interesting but not something worth raving about... EO was freaking awesome! Partly because it's in the MAC instead of the Victory, partly because it's done by IU students, partly because it was in English instead of French, haha. And maybe just cause Pushkin wrote an amazing story. I found I really felt like Lensky at times....no, not because we have similar last names. But man, it was amazing how much I felt like him at times. But by far the worst fate would have been in Ornegin's situation. Sure, he brought it all on himself, but so much of it was catalyzed by society. To be the cause of your own downfall, but to be unable to control it....that'd suck. If you didn't see EO tonight. GO SEE IT!!! OMG it was good. Actually, if you go on this Saturday or next Saturday, I might want to come with you to watch it again, haha.
